Assessment worksheets By BN

This might be a silly idea but why not change the title on some of those worksheets?Run off a copy and type in assessmnet at the top of the page before running them off for students. Make a sheet of assessment labels from| your computer and cut and paste on copy. Also white out any worksheet or practice labels before running off copies. It won't work for all worksheets but it will be good for those sheets you want to use for assessments. You then can keep these in children's folders. I often used worksheets as assessments and labeled them as such so when I sent them home the parents would know they are asssessments | | not a practice or worksheet.I don't know if this will help with the no worksheet policy but it is a suggestion. You can then tell princ. that they are an assessment for folders. As far as princ. contradicting curr. guide I would follow the guide and if she questions what you are doing have the guide handy to show her. Or In your plans write guide page number next to activity for reference. For example if you are doing a theme test write (County curr. guide pg 37.)right next to it. This will be good if princ checks your plans. We had to write the standard # and page # next to all objectives. I hope this helps. Good luck!
