PRINCIPALS READ THIS => If a parent complains about one of your teachers, you should ask that parent if they have discussed this issue with the teacher? If they haven't then you should encourage them to do so before involving
yourself in the matter!!!!!!
now onto my reply:
Either you have built a great working relationship with your boss or he's overstepping his boundaries here calling you on a football sunday and all. The fact that your being called at home on a weekend might be useful to you later if you need to play hardball and suggest that he is sexually harrassing you.
however, generally most

principals don't care what or if the children are learning anything. All most care about is that you show up for duty, turn in lesson plans on time, and control your classes.

model behavior, give the kids marks, be mean, use recess time to practice proper transitions. do whatever you need to do to get more control. If a lesson has to be shortened or postponed so that you can nail a few problem kids then do it.
send notes home with the students! If the parents feel they have an outlet or way they can write a note back to you by signing a weekly or bi-weekly discipline sheet, then they won't be so quick to bother your principal.
