I divided my class into 4 main reading groups based on their reading levels. At the end of the day I have "reading groups" from 2:05-2:55. (We get out at 3:00). I have four main activities going on at once: 1
I like this system the best of any I've tried so far! Two groups have an adult while two work on their own. We change groups after 20 minutes. So, they only do two groups a day. They read with me one day and do an independent activity then read with my aide the next day and do an independent activity. How about letting them use fly swatters to swat the reading words? They love this one! Use magnetic letters to make the reading sight words. I don't know if this is the kind of info. you wanted? !!! Ashley
