I'm in the South

I live in the South and wear pantyhose every day! When you think about it they really are practical in the heat. Ladies shave their legs. There is nothing left to absorb the sweat so the pantyhose do that job for you.
Besides, we are professionals and pantyhose are cheap. Be honest and admit you just want to dress the way you want to dress and resent anyone telling you otherwise. Now consider this: we are employees of a school system and the principals are our immediate supervisors which means they can tell us how to dress and we should be smart and do so. Non-tenured teachers risk not being hired

back the next year when they don't comply. Tenured teachers risk being moved to a grade/subject they can't stand if they don't comply. A school in our system did just that in order to gain control of the tenured teachers in his school. It is sad but happens. Just as the students must follow the rules set by the school system, schools, and classroom teachers, so must the teachers follow the rules set by school systems, schools, and principals. I myself would love to wear jeans on Fridays like the tenured teachers but I have been told not to because the principal doesn't approve and after all I am new to this school system and want to be kept on for next year. So you do as you are told just like in any other job in America! Teachers should set an example for their students don't you think?
