Behavior Management By Marilyn

I used the Assertive Discipline program in my classroom. About five general expected behaviors were listed on a posterboard. If one of the students broke a rule 3 times or were especially disruptive, they were sent to another teacher's classroom (Try to send them to a classroom on a different grrade level than yours.) for a half hour to an hour along with some seatwork. Make prearrangements with other teachers concerning their willingness to help out in such situations. I also used the broken record method (repeating the command I gave until a student became tired of hearing it and did what I | | asked) to stop disruptive behavior. Here is a copy of an email I sent to other teacher's with links to Behavior Management sites.Links to a few Behavior Management and Classroom Management Sites. http://www.theteacherscorner.net/management/index.htm A few Classroom Management Links. http://167.192.222.136/bestprac/class/clmgt_toc.htm Links to several Resources for Behavior and Classroom Management. http://www.teachervision.com/lesson-plans/lesson-5776.html This site deals with Bullying Behavior. http://members.aol.com/kthynoll/bully.htm Links to sites on ADD/ADHD Behavior. http://www.teachervision.com/lesson-plans/lesson-5348.html Many links to Behavior Management topics. http://www.teachervision.com/lesson-plans/lesson-5806.html Several links to Behavior and Classroom Management topics. http://www.ILoveThatTeachingIdea.com/ideas/subj_classroom_management.htm Marilyn G.
