If he's fully included with an aide, then it's her responsibility. If not, then he is basically like any other student who gets any pullout services. If one of them (or a classmate without LD) had an accident, as does occasionally
happen in 1st and 2nd grade, who would help them change? I assume the SCHOOL NURSE. I am fairly certain that the classroom teacher doesn't leave all the other kids to do this!!! (Similarly, it's absurb to call you away from another group you're working with when he has an accident in class!!)This argument holds if he truly is having OCCASIONAL accidents. If, however, it happens
a lot, something more needs to be done (including a formal training/reinforcement program).

Also, I teach self-contained development learning/living skills and have students with toileting needs. I am responsible for this job and my aides and I share the duties. Out of respect for the student, it is important that the changing process happen in a private location, such as the single stall bathroom in the nurse's office, and not the regular boys or girls room with other children coming in and out-- NO MATTER WHICH ADULT IS HELPING!

Also, when this student comes to you for pull out, is it 1:1? If not, you putting the rest of the group on hold is no different than it is for the general ed. teacher to do it! If, however, he is with you 1:1 and has an accident during that time, then I would say it's your responsibility to help him (in the private bathroom), even if the nurse does it at other times of day! She will also respect you more for it if she knows you are willing to help out when you're able!
