and the MAS (most annoying student) goes to...

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi everyone! I've truly enjoyed your tales of MAS (most annoying student), and I've got 2 that fit right in.

My first is a bright young lady, who absolutely THRIVES on drama, and the spotlight that it places her in. One
moment she's lovey dovey with me, and if that doesn't satisfy her need for attention, then somebody is doing something to her, and finally, the last thing she'll try is tears. She is absolutely FULL of drama in order to get my complete and undivided attention. Oh, and did I mention, this child speaks at the decible level of a freight train? She can be standing next to me, complaining
about a student, and it sounds as if she's speaking through a bull horn!

And her, 'upset with Ms. So and So' face. When she doesn't get her way, or I don't give her the attention she wants, you'd think her lip would fall off and her face would hurt from scowling so hard.

Restroom pass....count on 10 minutes. Going to locker, "well, I just HAD to go through the 7th grade hallway in order to get to my locker that is a mere 50 feet from your doorway."

Every now and then, she completely surprises me with a piece of writing, or a piece of work that is outstanding. That's when she gets the attention from me that she deserves.

My 2nd student is a hyper boy who automatically says, "What did I do?" every time you say his name. After that, his next words are, "It wasn't me!" Yesterday, he came into my classroom after lunch, shoved me into the doorjam to get past me, sprinted across the room, leaped on top of a desk, walked across it and 3 others, and sat down. THEN, proceeded to argue with me when I wrote him up ("What did I do?"). Well, DUH! Ahhh...life is bliss!
