Here are a few more I thought of today. 1. Pod- Get a big open area- I use the gym or my room depending on big of a class I have. I divide the class into 3 or 4 groups, as long as each group has the same number. Once | the kids are in their groups, having them go to a certain area. If I play in the classroom, I push the desks back and have the kids sit in rows on the floor. I designate a certain area as "the pod", usually in an open corner. If I play in the gym, I have the groups each go to a hall. The pod is the center of the gym. Everyone in the group must sit down in a line. I have the first person | | in each row stand. I ask the first person in group one a word. They have to give me the definition. If they get it wrong, they have to go to the pod and the next person in the line stands up. If the get it right, they just sit down and the person behind them stands up. I go to the next group. I give the same word if it was wrong the time before, or a different word if it was right. If the person in the group before them had to go to the pod, and the person in the next group going got it right, the person in the pod goes to end of the group's line who got it right. If the person in the second group got it wrong, too, they go to the pod. The group that gets the word right, everyone in the pod has to join. The process keeps going throughout the whole game- the person after stands up while the other person sits down or goes to the pod. I play like this so I know who goes next. Plus, if one person is standing and the rest are sitting, it is easier to tell if anyone is telling the person standing the answer to a question that people keep on getting wrong. The group with the most people at the end of the game wins.
