Here is what I do for each of the squares:

Mystery Prize- I go to a dollar store in our area numerous times a year for my "prize box" Everything is a dollar at this store so I just buy things from there (bubbles, chalk,
stickers, wallets, etc.) I also keep my eye out for other things I see that are cheap. They get to pick something from the prize box if they land there.

Brain Benders- I have a trivia program in my room- what happens is that I ask trivia questions almost everyday. When we have free time, I ask several. I randomly call on people (using popsicle sticks with their names on it)and if they

get it right, they get a point. If they get 10, they get a free-homework pass. If they land on Brain Benders- they get a chance to answer a trivia question to get a point for if they get it right.

Game-Spot- They sign up for a day using a designated calendar where they get to pick either what game we play at the end of the day (We usually play 7-up or speedball, other times we just read), or they can pick a test coming up and they can choose the review game we play.

Free-Homework- they get a free homework pass

Bus Stop- They get three chances to roll doubles (on three different days), and if they don't roll it they have to answer a question about what we are learning correct- if they don't answer it correctly, they lose one of there points for my trivia thing and then they can go.

Library- The student can sign up for a day to bring a picture book in to read to the class, read a story they wrote to the class, or be excused from Journal and DOL for a day of their choice, but they have to read quietly during the time that we do them (when the students are doing them, they have to read, when we are correcting DOL they still have to listen.

Go- They get a choice of a piece of candy from my candy jar- I have small sized candy like tootsie rolls, smarties, sweetarts (the kind that come in three), and some other things, or they can get an extra credit point on a assignment, quiz, test, project, or just towards a class, it is up to them. I give them a little card that they can staple to there test, quiz, project, assignment, or turn in and they can write on it what subject it is for.
