Great ideas you guys! One thing I've incorporated into calander time is counting money. Each day we add a penny to a jar and count the money. The students learn how to trade 5 pennies for a nickel, 2 dimes and a nickel for a quarter,etc. It really helped when it came time to start our money unit.
