How about a series of waves that get bigger & bigger . Low points start out on small waves & so on. Use cutouts of people on surfboards with names of kids on each. Move up the waves as they earn points. You could do sailboats instead of surfers. You could also do an under the sea scene and do scuba divers that get closer & closer to the surface as the kids earn points.
