Broken Pencils

In my third grade class the student are required to purchase packs of #2 pencils at the beginning of the year. One students job is to sharpen two pencils on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The students use one to write with and the other one is kept in their pencil pouch.If the pencil breaks they quietly put the broken pencil in their pouch and use the extra pencil.If that one breakes they use the teacher's pence a wonderful school year.
