I send one home each Friday. I briefly summarize what we had done that week in each subject (For example: "We did an experiment which showed us how.....) I also write the lunch menu and specials schedule for the following week and add a cartoon or interesting fact... Parents love the communication and it takes me about a half an hour from start to finish. Sometimes I will save a little space and a student will add info about something....
