reading log grade

I give a grade for the reading log - a project grade in reading. I had a few students that "forgot" to turn theirs in, but that zero dropped their grade so low that the parents made sure it never happened again when progress reports came around! I have an area of my white board that has the daily homework listed and another area above that, with the project reminders - the reading log goes up there when it's near the end of the month.
