not enough time

In my district we get Friday afternoon before school starts on Monday. That Friday morning is staff development and the afternoon is ours to work in our room. Wow, how generous. But of course eveyone starts weeks ahead of time getting the room ready and "fighting" for the copier and laminator.
And to think, media in our area is calling for teachers to take pay cuts and pay freezes because the economy is so bad. Sure we don't need the money - we already work a lot for free.
