A student's perspective
By Tracey

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm a teacher now, but when I was in 5th grade a girl joined our class who was a Jehovah Witness. The only things I remember that she did differently was that she didn't stand for the pledge, nor did she participate in holiday parties. The only explanation that our teacher gave us when we asked why she didn't do these things was that it was against her religion, and that was apparently good enough for us, so the kids probably won't think she's "weird" or anything with even a small explanation.
