I have a cowboy themed classroom. I explain to the students that I am the Sheriff but they are the deputies and help me carry out the laws. I have a cowboy on the bulletin board and preprogram a deputy's badge with each student's name. Every day I place two badges on the cowboy's shirt. Those two students are my deputies for the day and do all classroom jobs for that day. The kids love looking to see if he/she is the deputy. It rotates quickly using two names every day.
