Pets are a great but I would also be careful. Fish sound pretty good. I have seen budgie birds in some classrooms. One advantage to this pet is it is easy for the teacher to take home on the week end or it can do quite nicely (I believe over the weekend). I suppose it could be an allergy. I strongly support that no one take a pet home. I have a travelling teddy bear that has been known to make the rounds lol and it always comes back more or less in one piece.
