Great Source

Lily, there is a great book entitled, Guiding Readers and Writers, by Fountas & Pinnell. It is a huge book, and 4 chapters are devoted to the subject. Last summer, a small group of teachers were reading and discussing it together. Later we bounced ideas/problems off of each other. The book is not merely theoretical but has procedures and the context for discussion. Many other parts of the Reading, Writing, Spelling process are included in additional chapters. See if you can take a look at it in a bookstore. It is well worth the price.
