Maybe you could write the math facts on a log or rock? I have seen LOTS of turtles resting on logs or rocks. You could put the winning turtle on the rock? You could make the board look like a large pond. You could even add a few fish with plus signs and minus signs on them! Or even words of encouragement. Good luck!
