Name Craft

Each child receives a paper with his/her name printed on it with pencil. We discuss what each name looks like....some letters are tall, some short, and some long. Out comes the glue and glitter. The children trace the tall letters in their names with the glue and my aide and myself go around with silver glitter. We program the short letters with red glitter and the long letters with blue glitter. It makes a great all-American bulletin board. You might also choose to graph how many short, tall, or long letters are in each name.
