Clip to ScrapBook
In a book I read recently, I came across this information... For a student of average to accelerated ability, it takes 8 exposures to a new word to commit it to memory. On the other hands, a student with below average ability 40 exposures to commit a word to memory! I guess the great scholars are finally rethinking the concept that repetition is the best way to help a child learn theory! The days of drills and Dick and Jane will revisit I'm sure. Think of it, how many labels, learning disabilities etc did we hear of way back then??????
