I forgot to include my main point in my response! When I took that job that I didn't want, I, too was going to look for another job while teaching at the other one. I found an elementary position in a neighboring school district at a great school. THe principal there wanted to offer me the job, but only with my principal's permission. Well, my principal would not release me because there was no one to take my place. So, I couldn't leave for the new job. I ended up resigning and moving to another state.
So, be careful!
