retro theme

Hi. I will also be beginning my first year of teaching in August as well, also in a 5th grade! I did my student teaching in a 5th grade and the teacher I was with seemed to have a retro theme going. Her room was full of color and it looked great. Colorful enough to brighten up the room but not too much to be distracting. She had hula skirts that were cut in order to spread them out as curtains on her windows. Very cute! I think I will be going for lots of color in my class. Good luck!!!!
