Saw him yesterday but was wondering: was anyone else affected by his slightly unsavory thought that the students in NY might need more of these rules? I don't know, I kind of took a little offense considering in ANY socioeconomic area, there are parents who teach their children manners, and those who just don't care. Sometimes, manners and respect are worse in a child from a wealthy background!

However, I loved his interview on Oprah a while back, and I think his rules are good as long as you adapt by taking the ones that would work for your classroom culture.
