Congratulations on your new position. I have taught sixth grade math and science for the past 12 years. I love sixth graders. They are fun to be around. Most have great attitude and want to please their teacher and be loved by them. They appreciate a good joke or story. Listen to them, and you will learn something more about yourself. By the end of the year, there will be some that you will want to be your own child too, and there will be some tuned up for 13. Have a great year. debra w.
