If you have a digital camera, take a picture of the child by himself/herself to use on future bulletin boards and to do beginning of the year pictures and end of the year pictures. Also, if you teach younger grades and have trouble with criers then take a picture of the child with his/her mom/dad/family so that when the child cries missing mom then hand him/her the picture and see if it makes them feel better by carrying it around with them throughout the day. Be sure to laminate the picture so the tears won't mess the picture up.
