Have you tried talking to the principal one on one and telling her your feelings. Telling her you appreciate the job you have, but your heart lies in getting your own classroom. Talk about your potential and maybe share with her some of your ideas of how you could be good for her school. Also, if you haven't already done so, offer to show her your portfolio and some lessons that you have created that you feel went well. It sounds like you have a good relationship with this principal. I don't know if I helped any, but good luck. I hope you get the job.
