bathroom

I have two bathroom passes in my room. They are on strings so the kids can wear them around their necks. There is one for the boys and one for the girls. The rule is, if the bathroom pass is there anyone can take it and go to the bathroom. If it's not there, they need to wait until it comes back before they go. If someone has to go while I am teaching a lesson they need to ask me before they go. This seems to work really well, and I don't have kids running up to me all the time asking to use the bathroom.
