I alternate...

jobs monthly. It gives me an opportunity at the end of the month to change table captains, the class calendar and jobs all at the same time! Plus, the kids really enjoy keeping their jobs for one whole month. I tried the weekly thing and it didnt work! If a student doesnt want their job anymore (during that month) I pick the next student in order (i think it was alphabetical) to have that job (if they want it).
I only had that happen once. However, a few times a student had to be "let go" from their job because they were misbehaving.
