birthdays, up-coming projects or tests (if I know them), what we're studying in each subject that month, field trips, my email address, reminders of rules or procedures (when I see a need or there is extra space), etc... I send it out the last day of the month (for the following month). I use the CorelDraw program to make it appealing looking - lots of clip art. I've never let the kids do it - I just spend about an hour a month putting it together.
