First off...I can tell that you care for this student. God bless you! I wonder how she got this far to begin with? Has she improved with the interventions???? Is she developmentally behind? Is it a specific learning disability? If she is 14 and in 5th grade something is def wrong! Does your school have a resource room teacher? This scares me as a 14 year old does not belong with 10 year olds. How does she relate to the children her own age? All of these questions must be answered. Most importantly she must be tested PRONTO. She is lucky to have your as a teacher.
