Clip to ScrapBook
Get a package of fancy paper plates and write one large number on each plate. Use some milk lids or some other manipulative that the kindergartners will put on the plates. ie--if the plate says 1, they put on 1 lid. If the plate says 8, the put on 8 lids. Add a tongs to use and they are also developing small motor skills.

Have some little pieces of paper with numbers on each paper. The kindergartners use a paper punch to punch out the appropriate number of punches. Or if you have stickers available, let them stick the appropriate number of stars on each paper.
