At Risk
By Sue W.

Clip to ScrapBook
An at risk classroom might possibly be any classroom in a struggling schools, or it could be a specilized class of kids with learning problems. As far as I know "at risk" is unspecific. These students are not making expected progress for some reason; learning or behavior problems, immaturity and/or lacking in experiences, economically or emotionally deprived, English Language learners. Our District used to have 3 transition rooms for kids who were not ready to make the move from kindergarten to first grade. It was a fabulous program for kids who basically just needed more time. Your training sounds like a good choice for this. Good luck.
