Clip to ScrapBook
I took a Title I job as a reading specialist 2 years ago in an elementary school. I had applied for a 5th grade position, but instead, they offered me Title I. I accepted the position, and now am teaching a grade 3-4 loop in the same school, which is exactly what I was looking for. I think any experience helps, if you are contracted yearly I don't think it will hurt you to accept the special ed position. I know 5 people personally who have done the exact same thing, and now they are all teaching at the grade levels they want in the classroom. Good luck to you!
