It seems to me...

that depending on your school and area that you teach, dictates the # of kids. State laws too. I teach in the fastest growing city in Ohio. We only have 1 school in our district for 4-6. I teach 4th and there are 28 fourth grade teachers...if you can believe that. And we have between 23-25 students per class. Each year the number is expected to go up. There is something like 679 4th graders in one building!!! Not to mention about that many 5th and 6th grade students!! It is great though!!! You feel like you are part of something HUGE when you go to work everyday!!!Laura
