Hi Stephanie,
I used to live in the Louisville area, and if you're willing to drive an hour or so, I know there are dozens of organizations that would appreciate your donations. The Salvation Army is a great idea, and I would also look in to donating to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. I used to volunteer there and they were always on the lookout for gifts for patients. Also, you might want to check out the Center for Women and Families, an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. I know this center is based in Louisville, but if I'm remembering correctly, there are branches throughout the state. Hope that helps!
