Take it. I was actually told by principals in some districts to not even apply if I hadnt had previous experience in teaching or throught a leave. Plus principals talk. If you do this job for six months and they know a few weeks after that there is someone down at another shcool that is going out and you have done a good job you may be able to turn it into a longer position. Plus the six months might turn longer. I was supposed to be in a room for six weeks last year...14 weeks later I left. So things change. Plus after so many days in the position you often get higher pay.
