Clip to ScrapBook
The story "The Most Dangerous Game" would fit in well with this theme. I don't remember the author's name, but I'll try to find out. I first heard this story in eighth grade, and I loved it. I have taught the story in both seventh grade and ninth grade, so it should work well with your seventh graders.

There is a team-building activity that involves ranking in order of importance the items one would need to survive on the moon (or wherever). I don't have the list, but someone else might know about this activity.

I think the Survivor theme is a great idea. If I think of anything else, I'll post again.
