I thought it was just me!

I thought I was the only one on this board that did not "do" themes. My classroom is (I've been reassured) a bright, cheerful, fun place to be. I usually do a back to school display in the hall with kids' names with some sort of fun theme, but that's as far as it goes. I experimented with the theme thing, but it just felt contrived to me. For some, it is natural, and those are the ones who will be successful with their themes. I am constantly looking for ways to improve my classroom's appearance and my teaching practices, but I am just not into the theme thing. It's good to know we're not alone.
