Hello,
Wow, must be beautiful where you teach. It's not too bad here. I am from Rhode Island. I teach 1st grade. Just this past year, during Reading Week, the 4th grade teacher and I organized a Book Swap-but within the school. We asked each child to bring in a used book that they no longer read at home and they swapped with someone in their class. We have two of each grade. The kids loved it-they paid $1 for their trade. We gave the money to a local literacy program. I also check local libraries-they have book sales every year and the books are very cheap. Also, the Salvation Army stores. Good Luck to you. Maryann
