centre rotation
By maryellen

Clip to ScrapBook
Instead of all the centres on one day, I have centres for 5 days. Each group goes to one centre per day, and moves to the next on the next morning, according to a schedule I set up. The activities take approx 30 minutes, and after centres I leave about 20 minutes for the writers to share with the class what they've written. I've found sharing improves their projects because it really helps the others understand what I want when they get their turn at the centres. This is a perfect opportunity to invite parents (even working parents) or admin into the classroom, because they know exactly how long they'll be in the room and can plan time off accordingly.
