I've seen the cute little ones with different explanations, but I like the one my sister did for her student teacher. It was things they could use, since they spend a fortune on them. Her student teacher cried when he got it (sensitive man).

It included:
paper clips, rubber bands, tea bags (for relaxing!), bottle of Tylenol (self-explanatory!), pens, pencils, white out, small stapler/staples, post-it notes, etc... I forget everything, but basically it's supplies you use daily. You can put them all in a cute canvas bag (that we teachers usually have tons of to share!) with a nice note card attached.

She spent about $20. on it, but you can vary it for less money if needed.
