Clip to ScrapBook
The best book we read last year was "Among the Hidden" by Margaret Peterson Haddix. She has several books in this series. My kids and I both cried. It was the best writing and journals I had all year. I did it when we studied China in SS. Population limits from countries. You might check out Ann Rinaldi's Historical Fiction. They are great and very real, your girls will love them. They always have a little romance going on in the background of very real history. I have read 10 myself and looking for more. I try to choose 3-4 book on a theme and let them choose from those. We then have a common idea to share with the class.
