Clip to ScrapBook
Instead of just putting the name on the card and placing it in the pocket, have students do this.
Write the title of the book and the author at the top of the page. When the student has finished reading the book, they should pull the card and then finish this sentence on the same card: I (did, did not) like this book because....Next, they should write their name on the back of the card. Have file box ready and let students alphabetically file the cards that they have filled out. Other students can then go to this file and read reviews of the books. This may help them decide on a book to read, and it gives students some writing experience.
