Centers
By Lisa WA

Clip to ScrapBook
I have 5 centers (I call them "workshops") that students rotate through in groups of 5-6. They go to a different center each day, so by Friday they've been to all 5. Generally, my centers are reading, math, spelling/writing, science/social studies, and computers. The activities vary depending on what we're studying. I try to have students work in a designated spot for each activity, but I usually have at least one "take it to your seat" center a week. In this case, that group of 5 or 6 kids takes the activity back to their desks, while the rest of the class is scattered around the room doing their own center of the day.

Hope that makes sense and helps somewhat!
