Passport to Social Studies By Sari
|
| For tracking work you could use "passports." An early activity could be making the passports, and throughout the year the students earn stamps for completing assignments/projects. I used this with a my seventh-grade social studies classes a few years ago, and it worked pretty well. Each unit (Middle Ages, Islam, Africa, etc.) had a page in the passport. My students completed six projects per unit, so there were six boxes on the page. It was an easy way to see if they were completing their assignments. (I did not use the passports for homework and other daily work.)
