Last Minute to do...
By Gail

Clip to ScrapBook
Boy, seems like a hard situation. I'd just plan some ideas for organizing materials the first day. Check on special activities or assemblies, and have rules ready for the kids to go over. You might tour the school and show them where everything is...other grades, bathrooms, office, playground + rules, etc. I would have ready get to know you games for the classmates, and a welcome folder with simple activities right on their desk for the first morning they arrive. I've just put it in folded over constrution paper. Let them keep that at school for the first few days to work on as they have extra time. Then you can gather yourself together when you really know the feel of your classroom after a couple of days.
