lost pencils
By Su

Clip to ScrapBook
If your students sit by groups either at desks or tables then you could have a caddy with pencils at each table or group. My first graders share all supplies. I have a caddy that is a long rectangle on one side and divided into two compartments on the other side. I put crayons in the long one, markers in one small compartment and scissors and glue sticks in the other small one. My students sit in fours and I put three boxes of crayons and two boxes of markers for them to share. I put four scissors and two glue sticks. Then I have a shallow rectangular basket for pencils. I put between 10 and fifteen pencils in the basket and sharpen two or three times a week.
