Like Tina said before, Read The Room is a favorite. We called it Read Around the Room...same thing. We did something similar to Tina's but with a little twist. We too used dowl rods, but instead of erasers, we used Gloves, stuffed with batting.
Take a winter glove (like those you can get at walmart for 99 cents)
Stuff it with batting (not too tight!)
Hot glue down all the fingers except the pointer
Stuff the dowl into the pointer finger and secure the bottom of the glove to the rod.
For decoration you can add a fun ring to the finger and a ribbon around the base.
The kids loved it last year.
